QuickLogic Tapped for Marvell PXA3xx Smartphone Concept Platform

-- High Performance Connectivity to SD Memory Cards, CE-ATA Micro Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Other SDIO-Based Peripherals

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

QuickLogic(R) Corporation (NASDAQ:QUIK), the lowest power programmable logic solutions leader, today announced that its customizable SD/SDIO/CE-ATA host controller solution is a core component in Marvell's PXA3xx 3G Smartphone Concept Platform, code-named Dracut, being demonstrated at the 2007 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The platform will aide independent software vendors in developing and evaluating new mobile services as well as serve as a reference design for handset manufacturers.

"We are thrilled to be an integral piece of Marvell's concept platform," said Jing Ma, QuickLogic's director of partnerships and strategic alliances. "Developers now have an opportunity to evaluate our combined solution in operation. With QuickLogic's integrated low power programmable fabric, handset designers can customize the platform for different end product requirements, features, geographies, and operators."

Because the configurable SD/SDIO/CE-ATA host controller solution is implemented in QuickLogic's PolarPro programmable fabric, developers can specify the number and types of host controllers in the final product, enabling a variety of handset design variants to be delivered from the same base hardware and software platform.

Marvell's Dracut 3G smartphone concept platform is being demonstrated at the 2007 3GSM World Congress in booth CY05 Courtyard Pavilion. Contact QuickLogic directly for additional information on the SD/SDIO/CE-ATA host controller solution.
